Kia ora whanau!

It's been a while - I've been totally swamped with work and with WORD Christchurch last weekend - it was absolutely mammoth but so so so good! Here's a selection of some stuff that came out in the meantime:

Kavv - sept 6th

This is a gorgeous little composition I came across while trawling bandcamp tags (incidentally it's the first time I've done that in a while and wow I feel like it's a whole different beast now, everything is so abstract and algorithmic, it's wild).

Ghostnaut & Raw Collective - A Dream feat. Kid Abstrakt & Raw Deezy

Another bandcamp trawling discovery, this track is off a real neat project titled 'From Montreal to Welly', put together by Ghostnaut in collaboration with the Raw Collective after crossing paths while on tour. I'm a huge fan of it, and it's such a great idea for a project! The rest of the album comes out towards the end of this month.

High Hoops - Steady Rolling

This is really exciting - High Hoops has announced a debut album, and a single release each Friday in the leadup! This tune has such a good beat and drive to it, it's got me dancing in my seat.

Same Name Confusion - My Plastic Baby

Another track with a real good beat, this one definitely hits the nz indie vibe. It's bright and cheery and great.

Eno x Dirty - That One

I really dig this one - it's from a double EP titled This One / That One & I rly recommend you go check out the other one, but That One stuck out a lil more to me. It's good! Check it out.

That's it for this week - I'm taking some much needed downtime before things get busy again! In a couple of weeks FUN NATURAL FUN is coming back for The Mix: Suffrage City 125 when we take over Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū's foyer for an evening of good, good tunes.

Mā te wā!
